Aveo is a Salandit born many generations after the world's paralysis. He was initially an agent of Dialga due to promised protection of him and the Salandit group he led in exchange for full loyalty. They eventually defected to the Planetary Investigation Team alongside Celebi, being forcibly seperated from their maelstrom in the process and later being trapped in the World Abyss by Dusknoir as punishment.

A standard looking Salandit aside from their dark brown eyes. Aveo has a black cape-like marking over their back and tail. The red line of scales running down their back covers more space than usual for their species, allowing for much larger flames. A chubby Salandit is a healthy Salandit, but Aveo is notably underweight due to malnourishment.
They can always be seen wearing a golden mask over either side of their face, as well as pouch around their leg to store their supplies when out foraging.
Aveo was born into a Salandit clan following the tense resolution of a deadly power struggle that came about due to the chaos of the paralyzed future. Aveo's formative years were dedicated to rigorous training, aiming to someday take Enya's role of primary protector from invaders and guard against internal threats whose ambitions weren't quelled by the resolution. Due to sustaining a severe injury, Enya reluctantly passed down her torch to Aveo earlier than anticipated, as her hunting and defense capabilities were permanently compromised.
Motivated by the standards set by his clan, Aveo sacrificed much of his childhood to safeguard their well-being. This commitment resulted in insecurities within Aveo concerning his own capabilities, given the frequent raids by significantly stronger Pokemon groups that small, malnourished Pokemon such as himself simply couldn't measure up to. Consequently, the clan often had to relocate due to an inability to hold their ground effectively.
Several years after reaching adulthood, Aveo came into contact with Dusknoir. In return for saving Aveo from being mauled by a pack of starving Mightyena, a pledge between the two was established to ensure safety and permanent safety for the clan within the ruined city surrounding Temporal Tower. In exchange, Aveo's clan was to provide unwavering loyalty to Primal Dialga and full cooperation in tracking down and eliminating any members of the Planetary Investigation Team. The two came to agreement, securing a shelter for the Maelstrom and Aveo's role as Dusknoir's disciple.
Following their arrival at the Hidden Land, Aveo developed what they believed to be a close friendship with Celebi while training under Dusknoir. When Celebi mysteriously disappeared from the ruined city, Aveo took off to find her, coming into contact with Grovyle in Dusk Forest and begrudgingly forming a temporary alliance with him to find Celebi through their combined forces. Their proximity made Aveo undergo a radical change of heart once more, pledging loyalty to the Planetary Investigation Team and rebuilding their friendship with Celebi into something more sincere.
Unknown to Aveo, they were being tracked by one of Dusknoir's Sableye minions as a safety precaution, who reported this change of allegiance to Dusknoir where he then drew up a plan to ambush Aveo, Briar, Celebi, and Grovyle at the World Abyss while the four researched the location of the time gears. A decisive fight broke out between the two sides and Dusknoir's plan was a success, trapping Aveo at the bottom of the abyss and forcing their allies to flee before they'd be forced to face another loss.
Aveo has a serious outward demeanor but it's easy to gain their trust, for better or for worse. They don't often get to display their optimistic personality to others outside their maelstrom due to how unpredictable the Pokemon of the future can be, which frequently results in Aveo surprising new allies once their more extroverted side comes to light.
He enjoys being kind and caring towards others if he can help it, but he isn't a pushover by any means. Aveo has little fear of confrontation, especially when it comes to matters concerning the safety of his clan and friends, as well as what they feel is right.
Although a permanent home is something they've always yearned for, actually adjusting to it in the restored future has proven to be unbelievably difficult for Aveo. Although they know the fear isn't rational, Aveo can't help the lingering paranoia from their past causing them to doubt how long the safety of their clan's current environment will really last.

A once very close friend of Aveo's during their time spent working under Dialga before being disposed of at the World Abyss. Though attempts have been made on Dusknoir's end to regain their trust, the two's relationship is still tense, to say the least.
Former enemies. A close friendship formed upon Aveo's undergoing of a radical change of heart during what was meant to be a temporary allyship between the two.
Fleeing from their metaphorical coffins brought them together, but at what cost?
- Likes to crawl on larger Pokemon's shoulders to speak to them, but might get annoyed if said Pokemon tries to hold or pick them up like some sort of stuffed doll.
